高中英语周记1

The moment I go to high school, I have made up my mind to study hard. It is known to all that the period of high school is the turning point of people’s life, which may decide my future career.

So I know the importance of striving for my future. The reason why I study so hard are various. First, I want my parents to be proud of me. When my mothers’ friends come to visit her, they always brag about how excellent their children are, but my mother would never take me as the topic, because she does not want me to have the pressure.

I appreciate what my mother does to me and really want her to be proud of me. Second, If I enter a good university, I can have the promising future. It is time for me to return my parents’ love.

How to control emotion is always the tough question to be solved. When people are angry, it is easy for them to lose control and speak ill words to others, even to the ones that they love. Impulse brings endless regret. When they clear their minds, they feel so sorry to bring hurt to the ones they love.

Friendship and family love are under threatened. For the one who is a moody person, he may lose them both. It is not a wise choice to release emotion when we are angry. The better choice is to walk away and keep silent, no matter how much we want to shout at others, cause we will be regretful for what we say. When we calm down, the problem seems not that serious.

We feel lucky not to do the impulsive behavior.

When we are very small, most of the teachers have asked us the question of what do you want to be in the future, then we will think about the future career. “I want to be a scientist, or I want to be a policeman” are given by students. Indeed, the career they want to work on will make great contribution to society and they are great people.

While some ordinary jobs have been ignored by most people, such as cleaners. They beautify the city by doing the hard work. They look ordinary but actually they are not ordinary. Take my mother for example. She is a housewife, and she takes care of the house chores.

It is not easy at all. She is so great for doing the same work everyday without complaining. Every job should be respected.

As a child, I am very looking forward to growing up, so that I can be independent and move out, doing whatever I want. I get tired of my mother’s babble. When I am playing computer games, she will ask me to help her with the house work or she will ask me to go to sleep more than 11 o’clock.

If I refuse, her anger makes me feel scared. How nice it will be if I just sleep all the day and doing nothing at all. But after watching a movie, I realized my bad idea. In the movie, the boy got angry with her mother and went out of the house. He hanged around the street. When it was dark, he missed his mother’s food, the comfortable house, even her mother’s babble.

The taste of a mother will be remembered by her child forever. It stands for happiness.
